We at the Craven Arms are passionate about our beer and have embraced the real ale revolution, which has taken place over recent years. The public has become tired of the mass produced factory beers & lagers and are now seeking something with a more interesting and varied taste and this is being provided by the traditional craft breweries that have sprung up in our towns & villages. We like to support our own local Yorkshire breweries - with their yorkshire water, low carbon footprint & benefits to the rural economy. Even though one of our beers is from over the border in Lancashire! Our Regular beers include; Hetton Pale Ale, Cruck Barn Bitter, Ossets' Yorkshire Blond, MoorHouses Blond & Black Witch. Plus guest ales giving a total of 8 at any one time. Each Year in "Octobeer" we have our own Beer Festival with 25 of Yorkshires finest to come & try. Voting declares which one becomes "Yorkshires Perfect Pint.

Great Food; Homemade to order and highly reccommended. *Finalists of Yorkshire Pub of the Year Award. Dan & his team are always there seeking new locally sourced foods for there dishes & pride themselves on the lack of microwaves in the kitchen. Food is available everyday for lunch and dinner. A bar menu offers light snacks to hearty main meals. This is accompanied with the very special, specials board, with treats like the famous lamb shoulder. Our produce is sourced as locally as possible often straight from the farm.

John "Flash" Fawcett, local farmer of Barden supplies our beef from the Wharfedale pastures.
Andrew Bancroft of Carleton, supplies our Gloucester Old Spot Rare breed Pork.
Roger Duval of Wensleydale brings us our game birds.
Daniel Stewart of Skyreholme & his team in the kitchen brings this fantastic produce to our tables.
